I take my lunches very seriously. If I'm going to go out and spend money on my midday meal, I want to be sure that it's going to be awesome. Luckily, the studio where I work is located at Queen and Dufferin in Toronto, right in the midst of Parkdale, West Queen West and Liberty Village, where bargain-hunters with above-average food expectations are ...more

We never had a Popeyes in my community growing up. A location just opened in my area so I checked it out - I liked my first experience, so I went back and tried a few other menu items. After several visits, I've had a chance to try their spicy chicken, chicken strips, shrimp, cajun fries, cajun mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and of course, their ...more

Today on my lunch break I stopped in a Starbucks at Dundas and Roncesvalles to pick up a couple of drinks for my coworker and I. I ordered a Mocha for my coworker, her usual... a delicious chocolate-y treat that comes with whipped cream on top (unless you specify otherwise). When the barista handed off the Mocha, I noticed that it was without whipped ...more

Edamame is a Japanese dish - Boiled, salted soy beans (still in their pod). If cooked properly, the edamame should still be a little al dente. If not, the outside skin tears easily and the beans become soft. The beans are meant to be eaten outside of the pod - to be pulled out using your teeth. A bowl is usually served onside to place the empty pods ...more

For those of you who are unaware, Winter/Summerlicious is a month long affair (done once in January and once in July) in which a variety of upscale Toronto restaurants offer fixed price three-course lunch and dinner menus. Prices vary depending on the restaurant, with lunch prices ranging from $15 - $30 per person and dinner prices ranging from $25 ...more

This was freaking fantastic. I marinated the boneless chicken breasts in that marinade you buy from PC, garlic and herb I think. The stuff is great and comes in a salad dressing thing. After chilling it in that, I mixed some fresh herbs with flour and bread crumbs and coated the chicken with my little bread crumb mixture until it was all covered. I ...more

The food is great. The atmosphere is great. Check out the washrooms - they are the highlight of the place! The chicken wings, pork and burger are great! The ribs are awsome as well. ...full page
