Because I was both lazy and dissatisfied with local wedding stores, I decided to purchase some things for my upcoming wedding online. After googling around, I stumbled upon a website I had never been to - www.etsy.com. Imagine my delight when I realized it was just like an online mall, filled with one of a kind items ranging from clothing to furniture. ...more

My experience at Skydive Burnaby was pretty cool. After multiple visits due to poor weather conditions, I was finally able to complete a tandem skydive. Being this was the fourth time I had visited Skydive Burnaby (due to the weather conditions), my emotion and attitude had shifted from fear to restlessness - I was unsure how long I'd have to wait ...more

For about a year now I have had a problem with my ears being plugged and popping for no clear reason. Basically this creates an echo in my head which can be very annoying. Since my doctor thinks that I am imagining this problem, I decided to try an alternative method - ear candling - to fix it. I am a very skeptical person so when I arrived at the ...more

Although I have been to Niagara Falls twice a year for my entire life, I had never been the Butterfly Conservatory until a recent guided trip to the Falls with my students. As part of this trip we visited a variety of sites - Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum (actually a lot of fun),  the Guiness Book of World Records Museum, the Journey ...more

I (embarrassingly) put off getting my license for years. When I graduated from university and could no longer rely on walking as a source of transportation, I bit the bullet and took some driving lessons. They were pretty successful and not long after I started, I had my license. The next problem was purchasing a car. Since it was my first car and ...more

Everything came together...almost. It was a culmination of every I learned correctly from TV, reading and all forms of education. I do mean public, private, home, community college and Art Institute. Thanks to Slumdog Millionaire, I wonder now how many of the 20+ million viewers thought I would be eaten alive by the mystery of technology picking ...more

Seriously? I'm still in quite a bit of shock. It will be interesting to see what the truth is once the dust settles - that is if we ever do get the truth. Very odd sense of sadness and simultaneous happiness (yes, I think he was guilty...) but for the simple fact he is an absolute legend I can't help but feel we really lost something in the arts - ...more

I met up with my buddy in Ho Chi Minh City, and it turns out that he had met a vietnamese guy living and studying in australia on the plane over to vietnam, had a chat, and when they arrived, was asked to come to the guy's cousin's wedding. We got in touch with him to see if it was ok for me to go, and then mototaxied it over to the park that the reception ...more

Recently, I received a small tube of hand lotion and a glass jar of foot cream from a friend as a Christmas/Birthday gift. Generally I am pretty skeptical about body products due to the fact that my skin is intolerant to pretty much every ingredient and fragrance in existence. Nice smelling stores like Lush, The Body Shop and Fruits & Passion make ...more
